There is an unusual key called [Num Lock]. When turned on, the number
keys on the "key pad," generally on the right of the main keyboard, will
type numbers, just like the number keys above the letter keys. When [Num
Lock] is off, the same keys are for moving around in large text or
picture displays, or for moving the "cursor" an arrow or indicator on
the screen.
Many notebook computers have a key like [Num Lock] called "function"
or [Fn], which redefines keys that have
a second set of markings.
